On February 25, 2025, the Department of «Biochemical Engineering» hosted a guest lecture by Irina Yuryevna Potoroko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the «Food Biotechnology» Department at South Ural State University (Chelyabinsk, Russia).
Students, master’s students, and doctoral candidates attended a lecture on promising directions in the field of biotechnology and bioengineering.
The foundation of biotechnology lies in genetic engineering and biochemistry. Today, the development of cellular engineering is considered one of the most promising areas.
The key areas of biotechnology development include:
