An international forum dedicated to the cooperation in the field of
industry and education integration between Kazakhstan and China was held at the
International Engineering and Technology University (METU). The event brought
together high-profile participants, including Mr. Yu Chansyue, Director of the
Center for Chinese-Foreign Cultural Exchange of the Ministry of Education of
China, Mrs. Huang Xiaomin, Education Consul at the General Consulate of China
in Almaty, Mr. Zhang Yu, President of the Beijing-based company HUATEC, METU
Rector Gulnar Sarsenbekova, and representatives from Chinese universities.
The forum served as an important platform to discuss the further development of bilateral cooperation. METU became one of the first universities in Kazakhstan to begin implementing the initiative outlined by the country`s President. Memoranda of cooperation have already been signed with leading Chinese universities, and work in this direction is actively progressing.
One of the notable projects is the Jing Shi Institute, which is part of an international educational project in the field of "Petrochemical Technology." This project is the result of a joint effort between HUATEC, METU, and the Xinjiang Institute of Applied Technologies. HUATEC actively leverages its resources to integrate industry and education, creating a platform for academic exchange and training specialists, while also strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.
