Representatives of METU University Participated in the National Youth Forum Held in Semey

On May 23, 2025, the national youth forum titled “Abai’s Concept of the ‘Perfect Human’: National Values and a Modern Perspective” was held at Shakarim University at the initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The forum gathered representatives from over 70 universities across the country – scholars, lecturers, vice-rectors, and active students. Key topics discussed included Abai`s teachings, national values, the experience of implementing integral GPA, financial literacy, and the theme “Law and Order.” A cultural excursion was also organized for students to the Zhidebai historical and cultural reserve.

The main goal of the forum was to promote the spiritual and moral development of youth and to instill national values in young minds by combining modern perspectives with the teachings of Abai Kunanbayuly.

Representing METU at the forum were the Director of the Department for Youth Policy, Ryskeldi Dina Dauletkyzy, and the university’s student rector, Konakbayeva Aidana Askarovna.
