At the beginning of each academic year, library and bibliographic classes and guided tours of the library are traditionally held for newly enrolled 1st year students at our university. The main purpose of these events is to familiarize students with the rules of using the library, to show ways to effectively use the necessary sources of information, as well as to promote the formation of a reading culture.
During library and bibliographic classes, students will get acquainted with the library`s official website, learn how to search for books through an electronic catalog, work with electronic databases and full-text databases.
In addition, library tours and classes for 1st year students are organized during the month according to the approved schedule. As a result of these activities, students master the search for necessary literature and sources of information in the educational process, making full use of the library`s capabilities.
Thus, the events held at the MITU library were completed and helped the students to get an education and make effective use of the library fund.
