On September 22, 2025, an international forum titled “Forum of Rectors of Universities of China (Sichuan) – Kazakhstan and Seminar of School Directors” was held in Almaty.

The International Engineering and Technology University (MITU) took an active part in the forum. The Department of Biochemical Engineering was represented by faculty members, developers of educational programs, and specialists responsible for students’ external academic mobility.

During the forum, the parties discussed pressing issues of the higher education system and considered ways to further develop scientific and educational cooperation between the two countries. Special attention was paid to academic mobility, double degree programs, as well as practical and laboratory exchanges of students and faculty.

In his speech, Zhao Guohua, Rector of Sichuan Normal University, urged Kazakhstani students to actively participate in academic mobility programs and to take advantage of opportunities to obtain a double degree. He also emphasized the importance of joint work within laboratory research and practical projects.

As a result of the forum, agreements were reached aimed at expanding partnership ties between universities of Kazakhstan and China.
