Extended meeting of the Board of Advisors with the participation of the Rector of METU
An extended meeting of the Board of Advisors was held with the participation of the Rector of METU University, Darkhan Berikovich. The event was attended by the Director of the Department of Academic Affairs, the Director of the Department of Youth Policy, heads of departments, senior advisors, advisors and student representatives.
The meeting reviewed the current status of the advising system, as well as the role of advisors in providing academic and personal support to students. The existing problems and solutions were discussed, and measures were proposed to improve the efficiency of the system.
The Department of Youth Policy presented a general overview of the students` activity in university life and the activities of the advisors. Senior advisors of each department presented action plans for the 2025-2026 academic year.
During the meeting, the issues of interaction of advisors with students, attendance and academic performance, discipline, living conditions in dormitories, as well as student participation in cultural events were discussed in detail.
Following the meeting, specific recommendations were adopted to improve the work of the advisory service and key tasks for the coming period were identified.
