On October 17,
the Rector of the International
Engineering and Technological University, D.B. Akpanbetov, attended a demonstration of the prototype vacuum freeze-drying complex FD-4.1,
developed within the framework of the scientific project BR21881957 «Development
of deep processing technology and vacuum freeze-drying equipment for mare’s and
camel’s milk».
The
program was implemented jointly by scientists from the International Engineering
and Technological University (METU), Joldasbekov Institute of Mechanics and
Engineering, and «Qymyz» Kazakh-German Research Institute
LLP. As a result, it is planned to establish a Scientific and Educational
Center for Vacuum Freeze-Drying Technologies in Food Engineering at METU, where students and researchers will be able to use
the developed equipment for educational and research purposes.
A
special role in the implementation of the project is played by «Qymyz»
Kazakh-German Research Institute LLP, which ensures the industrial integration
and technical support of the technology, as well as facilitates the testing of
the equipment at production sites. The uniqueness of the new center lies in the
fact that the «Qymyz» Institute will provide industrial support and assist in
technology implementation, enabling prompt execution of applied tasks received
directly from customers and ensuring greater economic efficiency of scientific
developments.
The
event was opened by the Vice-President of the National Engineering Academy of
the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician A.K.Tuleshov, who emphasized the high
scientific and technical level of the work and its significant contribution to
the development of domestic engineering science:
«This work has been carried out at a high scientific and
technical level and has both scientific and social impact. The researchers have
proposed new technological solutions — this is a vivid example of successful
interdisciplinary collaboration, where specialists from different fields unite
for the sake of achieving tangible economic results for our country,» he noted.
Academician
Tuleshov also stressed that the project demonstrates effective synergy between
science, education, and industry, serving as a model for implementing similar
initiatives in the engineering and agri-food sectors.
The event was attended by representatives of Joldasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Engineering, «PROSNAB Service» LLP - one of the largest equipment manufacturers for the food industry in Kazakhstan, and the Scientific and Production Center of Agroengineering LLP, who contributed to the exchange of experience in the practical testing of the technology.
