“Taza Qala” Environmental Campaign Held at METU Campus

On September 6, 2025, the International Engineering and Technology University (METU) hosted the “Taza Qala” environmental campaign on its campus. The event brought together students, faculty members, and administrative staff, all united by the common goal of keeping their university clean and green.

During the campaign, participants cleaned up the university grounds, collected litter, and landscaped the surrounding area. Special attention was given to green zones — flowerbeds were refreshed, and young trees were planted to create a pleasant and eco-friendly atmosphere on campus.

The event fostered a spirit of teamwork and environmental awareness among METU students. According to the organizers, the campaign not only improved the university’s appearance but also strengthened students’ sense of responsibility for the environment they live and study in.

“Our campus is our shared home. By keeping it clean, we show respect for ourselves, our university, and the planet,” said representatives of the METU Student Organization.

The university administration expressed gratitude to everyone who took part in the initiative and emphasized the importance of continuing such activities to promote sustainable values among youth.

The “Taza Qala” campaign at METU became a vivid example of how collective action can create a cleaner, greener, and more inspiring learning environment.
