On October 22, 2025, at the METU, the lecturers of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and World Languages, the head of the university library, and first-year students of the specialties “ИИТЭ-25-1р, УиА-25-1р, Фин-25-1р, РЭТ-25-1.1к” held a round table dedicated to Republic Day.

During the event, participants discussed issues related to the formation of statehood, revealed the historical significance of the document “Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic”, adopted on October 25, 1990, examined its articles, and defined the essence of the terms “sovereignty,” “declaration,” “independence,” and “constitutional law.” The participants of the round table concluded that Republic Day is a wonderful holiday aimed at strengthening the statehood and unity of the people of Kazakhstan and building a just society. They also encouraged university students to take an active role in the life and development of the university.
