At the International Engineering and Technological University, a series of open lectures and seminars are being conducted by Professor Elhadj Benkhelifa, one of the leading scientists in the United Kingdom and the Director of the Smart Systems, AI and Cybersecurity Research Centre (SSAICS) at Staffordshire University.
Professor Elhadj Benkhelifa is a distinguished scholar with nearly 20 years of international experience, Professor of Computer Science and Digital Innovation, Head of the Professoriate and member of the Ethics Committee at Staffordshire University. He leads one of Europe’s major research centers focused on artificial intelligence, digital technologies, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things.
Throughout his week-long visit to METU, Professor Benkhelifa is delivering separate lectures and seminars for undergraduate students, master’s students, and doctoral candidates, exploring current trends and applications of artificial intelligence across industries — from energy and manufacturing to healthcare and education.
In addition, he is providing one-on-one consultations for doctoral students, assisting them in refining their dissertation topics, selecting appropriate research methodologies, and developing scientific objectives.
The lectures are marked by active discussions, with participants asking questions, exchanging ideas, and receiving valuable insights from the world-renowned researcher.
This lecture series is part of the strategic partnership between METU and Staffordshire University, aimed at fostering joint research, academic mobility, and knowledge exchange in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
