A
visiting professor from Turkey, Doctor of Sciences Mehmet Ali Ozler from Muğla
Sıtkı Koçman University, arrived at the International University of Engineering
and Technology at the Department of Biochemical Engineering on a working visit.
Within
the framework of academic cooperation between universities, Professor Mehmet
Ali Ozler conducts lectures and seminars for students of the specialties
"Chemical Technology of Organic substances" and
"Biotechnology", "Bioengineering and Bioinformatics"
sharing modern scientific approaches, new technological solutions and
international experience in the field of bioengineering research.
One
of the directions of the professor`s scientific activity is the production of
extracts from medicinal plants. His research is aimed at isolating and studying
natural biologically active substances that can be used in the pharmaceutical
and food industries. Work in this area contributes to the creation of
environmentally friendly and safe natural medicines.
The
professor also cleans olive oil using innovative methods of physico-chemical
treatment to improve the quality and preserve the beneficial properties of the
product. These studies are of great importance for the food industry and
demonstrate the potential of using soft technologies to increase the production
efficiency of natural oils.
Another
important area of the professor`s scientific interests is the study of the
biological properties of honey. He explores the influence of natural factors
and processing technology on the composition, antioxidant activity and
beneficial properties of honey, which is of practical importance for the
development of natural functional foods.
The
students participated with great interest in the classes of Professor Mehmet
Ali Ozler, actively asked questions, discussed current scientific topics and
gained valuable knowledge applicable in their future professional activities.
After
the lecture, Mehmet Bey presented each student with a personalized book
bookmark made with his own hands, which was a pleasant and touching gesture
that left the students with the warmest impressions.
During
the visit, the professor also visited research laboratories, got acquainted
with the material and technical base and scientific projects of the department.
The
meeting was held in a warm and productive atmosphere conducive to the
development of international scientific cooperation and the strengthening of
academic ties.
The
arrival of Professor Mehmet Ali Ozler became a significant event in the life of
the department, opening up new opportunities for students and teachers in the
field of education and scientific research.
