On November 10, 2025, the International Engineering and Technology University (Almaty) hosted the grand opening of the Young Accountants and Financiers Club (YAFC), dedicated to the celebration of Accountant’s Day and Financier’s Day of Kazakhstan.

The event became a significant occasion in the life of the university, bringing together students, faculty members, and representatives of the professional community.

Speakers at the ceremony included:

• Rector of MIETU, Professor Darkhan Berikuly Akpanbetov
• Head of the ACCA Representative Office in Central Asia, Mongolia, and Armenia — Zhanna Nurmukhambetovna Iskenova
• First Vice-Rector A.A. Abdildayeva
• Head of the Department of Economics and Business Zh.T. Dildebayeva

The mission of the YAFC is to unite proactive and goal-oriented students — future accountants and financiers — to develop professional competencies, exchange experience, participate in international projects, and promote the ACCA program in Kazakhstan.

The event program included:

• Presentation of the ACCA mission and club goals
• Accounting and finance quiz
• Musical and artistic performances by students of “Accounting and Audit” and “Finance” specialties

Particular attention was drawn to the speech of Dr. Sedep Toktamuratovna Mirzhakypova, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and Head of the ACCA Center at MIETU, who spoke about the opportunities offered by the international ACCA qualification, recognized in 180 countries worldwide.
