The International Engineering and Technology University hosted an open
advisor hour dedicated to the National Currency Day of the Republic of
Kazakhstan. The event was organized by Kurulai Berdimuratova, advisor of the
Department of Economics and Business, and brought together students majoring in
Finance.
The head of the department delivered a welcoming speech, congratulating
students and guests on the professional holiday and highlighting the importance
of financial literacy and understanding financial processes in today’s world.
Advisor Berdimuratova K.K. also presented a greeting created using
artificial intelligence technologies. Participants were shown a brief overview
of the history of Kazakhstan’s national currency — the tenge.
A representative of Bakker Tilly attended as an honorary guest,
emphasizing the importance of financial literacy and professional growth for
future specialists.
Finance students presented insights from their study visit to the National
Bank Museum, sharing their impressions and the valuable knowledge gained during
the excursion.
The event successfully combined the educational process, modern
technologies, and a practice-oriented approach, showcasing an effective model
of advisor-led student engagement at METU.
