METU Lecturer Increased Students’ Interest Through a Practical IT Session
Lecturer Aliaskar Mazhan Sundetuly Conducted an Open Lesson for the PI-25-1k Group
At the International Engineering and Technological University, lecturer Aliaskar Mazhan Sundetuly conducted an open lesson for the PI-25-1k (college) group within the discipline “Operating Systems and Computer Networks.” The topic of the session was “Laptop Hardware Architecture and the Windows Operating System.”
During the open lesson, the lecturer provided students with detailed insights into the internal structure of a laptop, including its key components — CPU, RAM, motherboard, SSD/HDD storage, cooling system, graphics module, and other essential parts. Students also explored the interface, structure, system settings, drivers, security tools, and file system of the Windows operating system.
Aliaskar Mazhan Sundetuly demonstrated strong professional expertise, technical literacy, and the ability to explain complex material in an accessible and engaging manner. He shared valuable practical knowledge, used real examples, and incorporated interactive teaching methods that significantly increased student engagement.
The session was dynamic, informative, and highly engaging. Students actively participated, asked questions, and gained a deeper understanding of how laptop hardware and the Windows OS function.
