METU Hosts a Lecture by the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Students

The International Engineering and Technology University METU hosted a lecture delivered by representatives of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event aimed to enhance students’ legal literacy and promote a culture of lawfulness.

During the lecture, experts from the Agency discussed key issues of financial security, mechanisms for combating money laundering, various types of financial fraud, and other economic offenses. They also highlighted important topics related to digital safety, the protection of personal data, and the legal responsibilities citizens bear when carrying out financial transactions.

Students showed strong interest in the subject, actively participating in the discussion and asking questions related to real-life situations and current risks faced by young people. The Agency’s representatives emphasized the importance of strengthening legal culture among students, noting that today’s youth often encounter modern threats in both the digital and financial spheres.

At the end of the lecture, the university received informational materials prepared by the Agency on legal and financial literacy. These materials will be placed on METU’s internal platforms to ensure broader access for students.

METU will continue to support initiatives aimed at fostering legal education and promoting a culture of lawfulness among young people.
