ALMATY, KAZAKHSTAN – December 4, 2025. The International Engineering and Technology University (METU), together with the Almaty Youth Policy Department, hosted the traditional IV International “Hiring & Innovation Forum METU”.
The forum focused on uniting the
university, business and artificial intelligence to prepare specialists for the
new industrial era.
The event was opened by METU Rector Darkhan
Akpanbetov and the Head of the Almaty Youth Policy Department Kazdenbek Aziz.
Participants discussed the skills of future engineers, the impact of AI
technologies on education and business, and ways to integrate innovations into
academic programs.
The forum brought together over 70
employers and partners interested in talent acquisition and in co-developing
relevant educational solutions with METU.
A key highlight of the forum was the
Student Innovation Exhibition — a dynamic showcase of ideas and prototypes.
Future engineers presented solutions for the real sector, ranging from smart
technologies to digital models capable of transforming industry. Guests
actively interacted with the authors, exploring opportunities for practical
implementation.
As part of the event, METU launched
the AI METU HUB — Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Engineering, a
new platform designed to prepare engineers and accelerate AI projects.
In addition, a strategic cooperation
memorandum was signed between METU and the Alliance for Innovation and
Industrial Development to support the integration of university-developed
technologies into the national economy.
Conclusion: METU demonstrates how
the synergy of education, business and artificial intelligence shapes the
specialists of the future and accelerates Kazakhstan’s innovative development.
