On September 2, a scientific
event was held at METU in Almaty, during which current issues in the research
field, the results of activities, and promising tasks for further development
were discussed.
The event was attended by
scholars of METU, as well as heads of research institutions, including the
National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Scientific and
Production Center for Microbiology and Virology, the Kazakh Research Institute
for Plant Protection and Quarantine, and the Institute of Mechanics and Machine
Science.
METU Rector D.B. Akpanbetov
made a presentation, noting that joint work with scientific partners has been
underway for several years and is now entering a new phase of institutional
integration.
In their speeches, participants emphasized the relevance of scientific integration, the need to build a unified system of research activities, and the importance of enhancing the visibility of Kazakh science in international databases. They also highlighted the role of interdisciplinary research and the strengthening of human resources in the development of the national scientific school.
As a result of the discussion,
an agreement on scientific integration was signed between the International
University of Engineering and Technology, the National Engineering Academy of
the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Scientific and Production Center of
Microbiology and Virology. The agreement establishes a unified framework for
collaboration and promotes the development of joint research initiatives.
The agreement is long-term in
nature and aims to strengthen research potential, develop interdisciplinary
areas, and enhance the international standing of national science.
