METU hosted senior lecturers from the Institute of Information Engineering of Liaoning Polytechnic Vocational University (China), PhD Wang Yang and Zhang Tiantian, who conducted open lectures for students.

PhD Wang Yang delivered a lecture titled “Digital China: Innovative Practices and Future Trends of Internet Technology”, where he discussed China’s digital transformation, the development of internet technologies, artificial intelligence, and innovations in the field of big data.

Zhang Tiantian, a master’s graduate of the University of Liverpool (UK), presented a lecture titled “Why is Big Data Necessary?”, explaining the importance, value, analytical capabilities of big data, as well as the skills required from future specialists.

The guest lecturers highlighted the growing shortage of Big Data professionals and introduced students to the opportunities and career prospects in this rapidly developing field.

METU continues to strengthen international cooperation and enhance students’ modern IT competencies by regularly organizing such academic events.
