On December 12, 2025, the official opening ceremony of the METU Debate Club took place. Representatives of the Youth Policy Department and the Scientific Library attended the event, witnessing the official launch of the club.

The opening ceremony was led by the organization’s leaders — Meirambek Baurzhanuly and Gauhar Yerbolovna. During the event, a small preparatory-format debate was held among first-year students. Additionally, a second-year student served as a jury member and timekeeper.

The club aims to implement major projects and events in the future. A proposal for developing debates in three languages — Kazakh, Russian, and English — was also presented.
