A Meeting Dedicated to the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan Was Held at METU

A meaningful meeting dedicated to the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its historical significance was held at the International Engineering and Technology University (METU). The honored guest of the event was Shamek Bayanuly Tileubaev, Deputy Director General for Research at the Sh. Sh. Ualikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology, Candidate of Historical Sciences, and Associate Professor.

During the meeting, the guest spoke about the key stages in the formation of independent Kazakhstan, its political, social, and cultural foundations, as well as the importance of independence for the country’s modern development. Special attention was given to the formation of national identity, the preservation of historical memory, and the role of young people in strengthening the sovereignty of the state.

Shamek Bayanuly’s lecture had a scholarly and educational character and was followed by an open discussion with students. Participants asked questions, shared their views, and discussed topical issues related to history, statehood, and the future of Kazakhstan.

Such meetings at METU are aimed at broadening students’ horizons, fostering civic responsibility, and promoting respect for national history.
