For students of the Department of Economics and Business, holidays are not
only a time for rest but also a period of professional development, practical
experience, and promotion of the university.
A bright example is Sultanmurát Zhanel (group Tur-23-1k), who
has successfully combined her holidays with professional work. She is currently
working as a tour guide in four international destinations: the Maldives,
Singapore, Malaysia, and Bali. This international experience allows her to
improve her professional skills and apply the knowledge gained at METU – the
International Engineering and Technological University in real practice.
At the same time, students who spent their holidays in their home towns
actively participated in career guidance activities. They visited their
former schools, met with senior students, and presented the educational
opportunities of METU, the academic programs of the Department of Economics
and Business, student life, and future career prospects. In this way, our
students became true ambassadors of the university, contributing to the
promotion of the METU brand and attracting future applicants.
These initiatives clearly show that studying at METU is not only about
theory, but also about real-world experience, international opportunities, and
a successful professional future.
