Within Winter School–2026,
on the topic “Digitalization and
Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: Quality and the New Role of the
Teacher,” the Department of
Economics and Business at MITU held an educational and methodological
conference of the section
“Artificial Intelligence in Economic
Education, Science, and Practice.”
The event brought together the academic staff of the department and was
aimed at discussing current issues related to the integration of digital
technologies and artificial intelligence into economic education, research
activities, and practice-oriented student training.
A welcoming presentation on methodological
approaches to implementing educational programs in economics under conditions
of digital transformation was delivered by Candidate of Economic
Sciences, Head of the Department, Zhuldus
Tursunovna Dildebayeva.
During the conference, Professor of the department, Candidate of Economic
Sciences, Manatzhan Ashimkulovna
Tleuzhanova, presented a report “Artificial
Intelligence in Education: From Fundamentals to Innovations,”
highlighting key directions for the application of AI in the educational
process.
Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Aigul Nurpeisovna Toksanova spoke about the scientific achievements of the department and prospects for their
development in the era of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the role
of digital tools in enhancing research potential.
The practical focus of the conference was strengthened by a presentation
from lecturer Akmaral Kaiyrbekovna
Ilyas on the use of artificial
intelligence in analyzing cryptocurrencies and digital assets, including
methodological recommendations for students.
Special attention to educational
and advising activities in the context of AI development was given by
lecturer and senior advisor Asiya
Muratovna Doskaranova, highlighting the role of AI in student support
and in developing their digital and professional competencies.
The session was concluded by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Sedep Toktamuratovna Mirzhakipova, who
presented a report on the
implementation of the ACCA program, its current status, and key results.
Thus, the Department of Economics and Business at
МETU successfully completed the work of the
educational and methodological conference section within Winter School–2026,
summing up the discussions and outlining further directions for the development
of economic education in the context of digitalization and active
implementation of artificial intelligence.
