As part of the event “Ideas in Action: METU x
KIT”, the Brilliant Minds team introduced their innovative startup
project OMNICOOK
— a concept for a smart modular kitchen for home use, aimed at comprehensive
automation of the cooking process.

The project addresses the urgent problem of
high time and labor costs in meal preparation. Unlike most existing “smart”
kitchen devices, OMNICOOK is designed as a unified modular system that
automates the entire cooking process — from ingredient preparation to the final
dish.
In addition to household applications, the
team highlighted the social significance of the project. The system can be
adapted to assist people with disabilities, increasing accessibility and facilitating
independent cooking.
The potential for implementing the
technology in public catering and food-tech is also being explored — in
restaurants, open kitchens, and demonstration formats. In this context, the
concept was compared with a show kitchen, where the cooking process
becomes part of the user experience.
During the presentation, the participants
demonstrated a conceptual 3D model of the system and explained the
principles of the modular architecture, applied technologies, materials, and
estimated equipment costs. The technical aspects of the project attracted
particular interest from experts and visitors.
Following the stand session, the OMNICOOK
project received positive feedback and sparked active discussion regarding
further development and practical implementation opportunities.
