At METU, a series of meetings with students in an open dialogue format has been launched. On the first day, the meeting was held with students from the Departments of Food Production Engineering and Technology and Biochemical Engineering.

The event was organized by the Youth Policy Department in cooperation with the Registrar’s Office. During the meeting, students were introduced to the principles of operation of the Platonus information system and key aspects of the academic process were discussed. In particular, attention was given to class attendance, compliance with academic and internal regulations, as well as the role and responsibilities of group leaders (class representatives) in organizing the learning process.

The meeting was conducted in an open dialogue format, allowing students to freely ask questions and receive detailed answers. In addition, participants were introduced to the university initiatives “Law and Order”, “Adal Azamat” (Honest Citizen), and “Taza Kazakhstan” (Clean Kazakhstan), aimed at promoting legal awareness, academic integrity, and social responsibility.

This format of meetings helps address students’ current concerns, take their suggestions into account, and strengthen interaction between students and the university administration. Open dialogue meetings with students from other departments are planned to continue in the future.
