Open Lesson on “Law and Order”: Promoting Legal Awareness Among Students

At the International Engineering and Technology University (METU), the Director of the Youth Policy Department attended an open lesson on the topic “Law and Order”, aimed at promoting legal awareness, respect for the law, and a sense of responsibility among students.

The lesson was held with the student group TMO-25-1.2k. During the session, key issues related to maintaining law and order within the student community were discussed, including the role of legal knowledge in shaping responsible citizenship, as well as the importance of discipline and accountability in both academic life and everyday activities.

The Director of the Youth Policy Department highlighted the relevance of such initiatives, noting that fostering respect for the law and public order is a vital component of youth education. He emphasized that activities conducted under the “Law and Order” initiative contribute to improving students’ legal literacy and strengthening their core values.

The open lesson was conducted in an interactive format, encouraging active participation from students. They asked questions, shared their opinions, and discussed practical situations that young people may encounter in real life. This approach helped reinforce theoretical knowledge while connecting it to real-world applications.

Organizing open lessons on topics such as law and order is an important element of the university’s educational and preventive efforts, aimed at developing a responsible, active, and law-abiding student community.
