From 19 to 23 January 2026, Toksanova A.N., Professor of the
Department of Economics and Business at the International Engineering and
Technological University, participated in the international GreenTech
Horizons training within the Erasmus+ programme.
The training was held in the format of Joint 2nd & 3rd
Train-the-Trainers at Kaunas University of Technology (Kaunas, Lithuania,
19–21 January) and Riga Technical University (Riga, Latvia, 22–23 January).
The training focused on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI)
into higher education to support the green and digital transition. Key topics
included digital transformation of education, sustainable development, green
innovations, cybersecurity, data ethics, smart cities, and sustainable energy
systems. AI was applied as a pedagogical support tool for personalized
learning, data analysis, scenario modeling, and increased learner engagement.
Within the project framework, a teaching and methodological package for the
master’s course “Green Entrepreneurship and Innovation” consisting of 15
lectures was developed.
The programme also included a study visit to the scientific center,
technopark, and library of Kaunas University of Technology.
Participation in the training contributed to the enhancement of digital and
pedagogical competencies, modernization of academic courses, and strengthening
of international academic cooperation. The use of AI demonstrated its
effectiveness as a tool for advancing sustainable and digital education within
the Erasmus+ programme.
