In February 2026, a meeting of the Academic Committee of the educational program «6B07102 – Automation and Control» was held at the department, with the participation of employers, experts, and students. During the meeting, issues related to updating the curriculum in accordance with current professional requirements and international standards were discussed.
The Head of the Department, M. Q. Baktybaev, presented the program description, academic staff, and leading instructors, and outlined the future professions and skills students acquire. The discussion included students, lecturers, and industry representatives, including Academic Committee member E. M. Satov, Chief Engineer of ASU TP LLP.
Associate professors and industry experts emphasized the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Students proposed expanding opportunities for industrial practice and adding courses related to modern automation technologies.
Participants noted that updating the curriculum plays a key role in preparing students for professional activities. All changes will be implemented gradually through close collaboration between the university, industry, and students.
