A significant meeting titled “Referendum: Youth Position” was held in Almaty, bringing together around 300 active students. Students of International Engineering and Technological University also actively participated in the large-scale event, expressing their civic stance.
The meeting was conducted in an open dialogue format with Akerke Abylaikhankyzy, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the discussion, students asked questions of concern and received comprehensive answers.
The main objective of the event was to explain the strategic role of the referendum in public life, discuss its legal and political significance, and outline the youth’s position regarding the country’s future. The meeting also covered democratic values, the rule of law principles, citizens’ participation in decision-making processes, and youth responsibility.
At the end of the meeting, the students were thanked for their active civic engagement and contribution to public initiatives.
