In the city of Almaty, at the
site of the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund, a masterclass titled
“Practical Application of Large Language Models”
was held, organized by the
Department of Software Engineering. The masterclass was conducted by the Head
of the Department, Meruert Zhumabekovna Sakyppbekova, and lecturer Galymzhan
Bauyrzhanuly Nurtugan. During the event, the speakers introduced the
capabilities of one of the most advanced areas of artificial intelligence —
large language models (LLMs), and demonstrated their practical applications in
business, education, and everyday workflows through real-world examples.
Meruert Zhumabekovna explained
the theoretical foundations of the topic and highlighted the development
prospects of LLM technologies. Meanwhile, Galymzhan Bauyrzhanuly presented
practical demonstrations and real case studies, which significantly increased
audience engagement. The coordinated work of the two speakers made the
masterclass informative and highly engaging.
Questions and feedback from
participants confirmed the high quality of the event. The masterclass was
conducted in an interesting, useful, and modern format.
It is worth noting that large
language models are artificial intelligence systems based on billions of
parameters. They are capable of performing complex tasks such as text analysis,
generation, translation, and automation. Today, such technologies are widely
used to optimize business processes and improve productivity. The masterclass
strengthened collaboration between the university and business sector and
opened new opportunities for the practical application of artificial
intelligence technologies.
