The International University of Engineering and Technology (METU) continues the active implementation phase of the GreenTech Horizons international project within the Erasmus+ program. During a meeting of the Department of Economics and Business, a strategic discussion was held regarding the introduction of innovative training courses developed in collaboration with leading European experts.
This initiative is part of IUET’s global strategy to support the "green" transition and digital transformation of higher education. Following the expert discussion, the department proposed the inclusion of two relevant disciplines into the educational process:
1. "Green Entrepreneurship and Innovation" - This course aims to build competencies in the field of sustainable business models. A special emphasis is placed on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for environmental scenario modeling and data analysis. The discipline is designed to prepare specialists ready to implement eco-technologies into modern business.
2. "Sustainable Development of Recreation and Tourism" -This program focuses on training personnel for the tourism and service industry. Students will learn to design tourism products that contribute to economic growth while minimizing the environmental impact.
The Head of the Department, Zh.Dildebaeva, noted that the integration of these courses opens new horizons for academic mobility for METU students.
