At the International Engineering and Technology
University, the second day of events within the framework of “Science Decade –
2026” was organized at a high level. On April 13, 2026, a round table on the topic “Development of Scientific
Potential and Research Competencies in Modern Conditions” was held in the
conference hall of the university’s Scientific Library.The event brought
together the university’s faculty members, young researchers, doctoral
students, and students. During the meeting, participants widely discussed the
development of scientific research, international publications, and current
issues of academic activity.The following important presentations were delivered during the round
table: Kenzhina Inesh Yergaziyevna – PhD, Associate
Professor, official representative of Clarivate in the CIS countries,
scientometrics specialist
Delivered a presentation on “Publishing in
International Scientific Journals and Journal Selection,” explaining the
importance of choosing the right journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Rabiga Altaikyzy Khozhamkul – Central Asia
specialist at InformaScape Shared practical recommendations in her presentation on “The Path to
Successful Publication in the Scopus Database.” Imansayeva Aizhan Meirkhanovna – Candidate of Technical
Sciences, Patent Attorney of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Eurasian Patent
Attorney
Delivered a presentation on “Legal Protection of
Intellectual Property Objects,” explaining the legal aspects of protecting
scientific results. Baisholan Nazerke – recipient of
the “Zhas Galym” grant, postdoctoral researcher of the Department of Software
Engineering Presented modern
approaches to conducting research in the report “Principles and Procedures for
Conducting a Systematic Literature Review in Machine Learning.”
During the event, participants exchanged views on
improving the quality of scientific article publications, increasing visibility
in international scientific databases, and effectively organizing research
activities. The second day of the
Science Decade gave momentum to the development of the university’s scientific
environment and became a valuable platform of experience for young researchers.
