The
International Engineering and Technological University (METU) successfully held
Section No. 6 titled “Artificial Intelligence, Software Technologies, and
Digital Transformation of Industry” as part of the “Science Decade – 2026”. The
session covered key areas of modern science and education, focusing on current
trends in artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital transformation,
and software engineering. The event took place in Academic Building 1, Room 74. The session
brought together faculty members, young researchers, master’s students, and
undergraduates from various universities. The session was moderated by the Head
of the Department of Software Engineering, PhD Meruert Zhumabekovna
Sakypbekova. During the
session, participants presented reports on the following topics:
application of
artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies;
modern trends in
industrial digitalization;
monitoring
systems based on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT);
software
development and DevOps methodologies;
the impact of
digitalization on education and the labor market;
database
modeling and optimization.
In addition,
presentations addressed the use of artificial intelligence in education, career
guidance, development of semantic analysis algorithms, and innovative solutions
within the digital economy. Representatives of leading universities (Al-Farabi
Kazakh National University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Almaty
Technological University, and others) shared the results of their research and
exchanged professional experience. At the end of the session, participants engaged in a
scientific discussion, highlighted key challenges, and emphasized the
importance of future collaborative research. This session, held as part of the
“Science Decade – 2026,” significantly contributed to strengthening the
research potential of young scientists, promoting innovative ideas, and
enhancing international scientific cooperation. The International Engineering
and Technological University continues to train a new generation of specialists
by integrating science and education in the field of modern technologies.
