METU hosted
Rae Kwon Chung, Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Climate Change and a
Nobel Peace Prize laureate as part of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change (IPCC).
As part of
his visit to METU, he delivered a lecture for students, sharing his experience
and insights on global climate challenges and the future of the green economy.
METU
continues to invite world-class experts, creating a platform for open dialogue
and knowledge exchange.
Rae Kwon
Chung is one of the key figures behind the global environmental agenda: he
participated in the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro and is a co-author of the
“green growth” concept, which promotes economic development in balance with
nature.
Such events at METU are more than just lectures — they provide students with a unique opportunity to engage directly with leaders shaping the future of our planet.
