“Book Week” at the METU Scientific Library: Five Days Full of Learning and Events!

 In celebration of National Book Day, the METU Scientific Library organized a special “Book Week” in a unique format. Bringing readers closer to books and giving the library a fresh new atmosphere, this week turned into a true “festival of knowledge” for students.

Throughout the week, the library revealed a new side of itself each day and welcomed many visitors.

April 20 – “Book Exchange Day”
Students shared books they had already read and discovered new ones from others. Held under the slogan “Your book – my knowledge,” the day strengthened connections among book lovers.

April 21 – “Science Day”
The focus was on the works of university faculty members. Students explored academic research and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of scholarly literature.

April 22 – “New Arrivals Collection”
A special exhibition of newly acquired books was organized. Readers had the opportunity to be among the first to browse the latest publications in world literature and science.

April 23 – “Insightful Talk”
A meeting with a special guest experienced in reading and writing was held. Filled with engaging stories and valuable advice, the session became a great source of inspiration for attendees.

April 24 – “No-Debt Student Day”
Students were given the perfect opportunity to return borrowed books and clear any outstanding library debts.

The week was both engaging and beneficial. For young book enthusiasts, such events will continue as an annual tradition!
