On April 24, 2026, an open class on the discipline “Labor Market Economics”
was held at the university, conducted by Kuralay Kadirku lovna. A total of 53
students from the educational programs “IITE,” “Marketing,” and “Tourism”
participated in the session.
The open class became a vivid example of integrating innovative approaches
into the educational process. By combining modern pedagogical methods with
digital technologies, the session demonstrated a shift from traditional
teaching to an interactive, research-based learning model.
During the class, the instructor acted not only as a source of knowledge
but as a mentor, fostering students’ analytical and research skills. Artificial
intelligence tools such as NotebookLM and Gemini were actively used, enabling
students to independently analyze information and draw conclusions.
The session effectively combined theory and practice. Global labor market
trends were discussed alongside real case studies from the domestic market,
allowing students to see how theoretical concepts are applied in real-life
contexts.
A strong emphasis was placed on critical thinking through the Socratic
method. The focus was not on finding the “correct answer” but on developing the
“correct way of thinking,” encouraging students to analyze and justify their
viewpoints.
Context-based learning was applied by adapting global content to the local
realities of Kazakhstan, helping students develop the ability to “think
globally, act locally.”
The class was also future-oriented, focusing on developing key competencies
such as data literacy and self-learning skills, which are essential in today’s
rapidly evolving labor market.
The open class demonstrated a high level of methodological excellence and marked an important step toward improving the quality of education and training competitive professionals for the future.
