April 24–25, 2026, the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University
successfully held a high-level Republican Olympiad in the discipline “Kazakh
Language” among students of higher education institutions of the Republic of
Kazakhstan who are representatives of non-Kazakh ethnic groups.
Students from various regions of the country participated in the
academic competition, including those from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National
University (Astana), E.A. Buketov Karaganda University (Karaganda), Sh.
Ualikhanov Kokshetau University (Kokshetau), and Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University
(Kyzylorda). In total, participants from 19 higher education institutions took
part in the Olympiad.
The two-day Olympiad was distinguished by its rich content and
well-structured organization. As a home assignment, participants were required
to prepare a video presentation introducing their universities. In addition,
the program included reading, speaking, and grammar tasks, as well as an
improvisational speaking round based on an animated film storyline. Within the
framework of the Olympiad, cultural events were organized for participants and
supervisors, and a special methodological seminar was held for academic
mentors.
Representing our institution – the International Engineering and
Technology University – the following students took part: Milana Badzhurak
(group “Accounting and Audit-25-1r”), Renat Bikkulov (group
“Bioengineering-25-1r”), and Sanam Akhmedova (group “IT Marketing 25-1r”). The
participants demonstrated a high level of proficiency in the Kazakh language.
Throughout all stages of the competition, they responded confidently, showed a
strong command of speech culture, and demonstrated respect for the language.
At the closing stage of the competition, Renat Bikkulov’s expressive performance of Abai’s poem “Segiz ayak” made a strong impression on the participants and was highly appreciated by the audience. The students’ knowledge, interest in the language, and confident stage performance clearly demonstrated their competitiveness. They represented themselves with dignity and earned recognition from the audience. This became the beginning of significant achievement and a confident step toward future success. At the conclusion of the two-day Olympiad, students were awarded certificates, and their supervisor received a letter of appreciation. Expressing gratitude to the organizers, language enthusiasts, and the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University for such meaningful initiatives aimed at developing spiritual values and language, we express our confidence that such impactful events enhancing the prestige of the Kazakh language will continue in the future.
