As part of the Silver University project of the International Engineering and Technological University, another meaningful event aimed at improving the quality of life of senior citizens, strengthening their health, and promoting an active lifestyle was successfully held at a high level. At the venue of the Municipal State Institution “Active Longevity Center of Almaty,” an informative seminar session on the topic “Active Movement – A Reliable Foundation for a Long Life” was organized with the participation of Arman Zamanbekovich Estemesov, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Sciences, Humanities and World Languages of the university, Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.
The main purpose of this informative meeting was to provide senior citizens with a scientific explanation of the positive impact of active movement on the human body, introduce effective ways of maintaining health, and promote the fundamental principles of a long and high-quality life. During the seminar, Silver University participants received comprehensive information on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the specific features of physical activity in older age, and practical ways of effectively incorporating physical movement into daily life.
During the seminar,
Arman Zamanbekovich, drawing on his many years of academic, pedagogical, and
sports experience, particularly emphasized the importance of regular physical
activity for maintaining vitality and полноценной жизнедеятельности. Through specific
examples, he explained that active movement not only strengthens the
cardiovascular system but also helps preserve joint flexibility, improve muscle
tone, enhance overall endurance, and promote emotional balance.
As part of the
session, participants were shown simple and effective physical exercises
adapted to age-related characteristics, as well as practical methods of
physical activity that can be incorporated into everyday life. In addition,
valuable recommendations were provided on proper breathing techniques, the
health benefits of walking, safe exercise practices, and lifestyle habits that
contribute to longevity.
A particularly
impressive part of the seminar was the open discussion platform with
participants. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions of interest and
receive specific practical recommendations from an experienced specialist. The
open communication format made the meeting more engaging and sparked strong
interest among participants. Many noted the high level of organization of the
seminar and the practical value of the information presented for everyday life.
Such meetings
represent one of the important steps in achieving the main goal of the Silver
University project – increasing the social activity of senior citizens,
supporting their intellectual and physical potential, and strengthening their
motivation for life.
The International
Engineering and Technological University will continue implementing similar
socially significant initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of active living
among the older generation, strengthening intergenerational continuity, and
contributing to the development of a healthy and active society.
