On March 4, 2025, an open lesson was held at the International Engineering
and Technology University within the course “Hotel Management” on the topic
“Hotel Services for Different Types of Clients”.
The lesson was organized using active learning methods. During the session,
the features of servicing different categories of guests were discussed,
including business travelers, tourists, families, VIP clients, and guests with
special needs.
The practical part of the lesson was conducted in the form of an
interactive game “Hotel Constructor,” where students of the “Tourism”
educational program modeled a hotel concept based on the needs of different
client groups. This format helped develop analytical and professional thinking
skills and reinforced theoretical knowledge in practice.
Faculty members participated in the event.
The open lesson aimed to improve the quality of the educational process,
develop students’ professional competencies, and strengthen practice-oriented
learning at METU.
