On May 15, 2026, the International Engineering and Technology University (METU) hosted a round table attended by the Rector, Vice-Rectors, heads of structural divisions, and department chairs of the University, as well as the President, residents, and representatives of the Alliance for Innovative and Industrial Development (AIID), representatives of partner enterprises, and members of the business community.
During the meeting, participants discussed the development of cooperation between education, science, and industry, the organization of industrial and professional internships, the implementation of joint graduation and research projects, as well as the organization of hackathons, IT competitions, and other educational initiatives.
Special attention was given to the training of competitive specialists, the advancement of practice-oriented education, the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and the strengthening of collaboration between the University and employers.
Following the round table, the parties expressed their interest in further developing their partnership, expanding opportunities for students’ practical training, implementing joint innovative projects, and supporting the employment and professional development of graduates.
