To commemorate the Day of the State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the METU University Library organized an educational evening and a special book exhibition entitled “State Symbols – Pride of the Nation.” The main purpose of the event was to foster patriotism among young people, promote awareness of the history and significance of the state symbols, and strengthen respect for national values.  The exhibition featured valuable publications, encyclopedias, reference books, and commemorative collections dedicated to the National Flag, State Emblem, and National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the history of their creation and development. Visitors gained extensive knowledge about the achievements of independent Kazakhstan and the role of state symbols in strengthening national unity. During the educational evening, participants were introduced to the authors of the state symbols, the history of their adoption, and the meaning and significance of each symbol. The program also included interesting facts about the state symbols, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session. As part of the event, library staff presented an overview of the exhibited literature and introduced participants to historical and educational publications. Attendees shared their thoughts on the special place of state symbols in the history of Kazakhstan as key attributes of the country`s independence and statehood.
