A Step into the Future: METU and SIUT Signed an Agreement on International Cooperation
Today, June 23, 2026, an official online signing of the cooperation agreement took place between the International University of Engineering and Technology (METU) and Samarkand International Technological University (SIUT).
The official partnership is the result of systematic work. The Department of International Cooperation, led by Director Karlygash Shokhayeva, has been actively negotiating with the Uzbek side since April 2026. The dialogue began within the framework of the international educational exhibition World Edu 2026 in Samarkand, where our university delegation held the first successful meetings.
The Rector of SIUT, Professor Yusuf Abdullaev, spoke warmly about the spring meeting and expressed deep respect for our university:

During the online meeting, METU Rector Darkhan Akpanbetov and SIUT Rector Yusuf Abdullaev discussed future joint initiatives in detail.
