Students and master’s students of the International Engineering and Technological University have successfully completed their participation in the international summer school “International Summer School for Central Asian and Russian Youth: Cultural Exchange and Technological Innovation”, organized by Harbin Engineering University in Harbin, People’s Republic of China.

The summer school was held from June 8 to June 28, 2026, and was aimed at promoting cultural exchange, introducing participants to modern technological achievements, and strengthening international academic cooperation between universities.

The following METU students took part in the program:

Nurmambetov Yerassyl – 1st-year master’s student of the educational program 7M06101 “Software Engineering”;
Makhsudov Bauyrzhan – 1st-year master’s student of the educational program 7M06101 “Software Engineering”;
Tassilov Magzhan – 1st-year student of the educational program 6B06103 “Software Engineering”;
Zhenisnurkyzy Akberen – 1st-year student of the educational program 6B06103 “Software Engineering”.

During the program, the participants attended lectures, cultural and educational events, visited artificial intelligence laboratories, industrial and technological enterprises in China, and became acquainted with the Chinese language, culture, and traditions.

Throughout the entire period of the summer school, METU students and master’s students actively shared photo and video materials with the university, reflecting the rich and eventful program, new impressions, educational activities, and cultural events. This allowed the university community to follow their international experience and achievements.

At the end of the summer school, Harbin Engineering University held a solemn closing ceremony, during which the participants were awarded certificates confirming their successful completion of the program.

Participation in this summer school has become an important practical result of cooperation between METU and Harbin Engineering University and has laid the foundation for the further development of partnership relations, academic mobility, and joint educational initiatives.

The participants are now returning home with new knowledge, international experience, vivid impressions, and valuable intercultural communication skills.
