UPDATE OF OP «6B07101 – CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY OF ORGANIC SUBSTANCES»

On February 21, 2026, the department held a meeting dedicated to improving the educational program «6B07101 – Chemical Technology of organic substances».

Representatives of employers took part in the discussion: Saule Bakirovna Nurzhanova, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, leading Researcher, Head of the Petrochemistry Laboratory at the D.V. Sokolsky Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry; Seilkhan Akkazinovich Askarov, representative of Ecoservice-S LLP; PhD, Head of the Catalysis Department at the D.V. Sokolsky Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry.V. Sokolsky Talgatov Eldar Talgatovich, as well as the faculty of the department and students of the educational program.

During the meeting, proposals were considered to update the curriculum of the educational program, taking into account current trends in the development of chemical technology, scientific research and the needs of chemical industry enterprises.

Following the discussion, it was decided to update a number of academic disciplines.:

• replace the discipline «Chemical technology of silicate materials» with «Special purpose polymers»;

• replace the discipline «Theoretical foundations of technology of organic compounds and food products» with «Chemistry of natural compounds and technology of processing of plant raw materials»;

• replace the discipline «Processes and devices of bio- and chemical technology» with «Chemistry and technology of heterocyclic compounds»;

• Rename the discipline «Inorganic, organic and Analytical Chemistry» to «Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry».

The adopted changes are aimed at updating the content of the educational program, strengthening the practical training of students and the formation of professional competencies that meet the modern requirements of the chemical industry and research activities.
