On February 21, 2026, the department
held a meeting dedicated to improving the educational program «6B07101 – Chemical
Technology of organic substances».
Representatives of employers took part
in the discussion: Saule Bakirovna Nurzhanova, Candidate of Chemical Sciences,
leading Researcher, Head of the Petrochemistry Laboratory at the D.V. Sokolsky
Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry; Seilkhan Akkazinovich
Askarov, representative of Ecoservice-S LLP; PhD, Head of the Catalysis
Department at the D.V. Sokolsky Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and
Electrochemistry.V. Sokolsky Talgatov Eldar Talgatovich, as well as the faculty
of the department and students of the educational program.
During the meeting, proposals were
considered to update the curriculum of the educational program, taking into
account current trends in the development of chemical technology, scientific
research and the needs of chemical industry enterprises.
Following the discussion, it was
decided to update a number of academic disciplines.:
• replace the discipline «Chemical
technology of silicate materials» with «Special purpose polymers»;
• replace the discipline «Theoretical
foundations of technology of organic compounds and food products» with «Chemistry of
natural compounds and technology of processing of plant raw materials»;
• replace the discipline «Processes and
devices of bio- and chemical technology» with «Chemistry and
technology of heterocyclic compounds»;
• Rename the discipline «Inorganic, organic
and Analytical Chemistry» to «Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry».
The adopted changes are aimed at
updating the content of the educational program, strengthening the practical
training of students and the formation of professional competencies that meet
