The third meeting of the university’s Public Speaking Club was held
on the topic of “Multilingualism.” The meeting was conducted in Kazakh and
Russian, providing participants with an opportunity to express their ideas
freely and exchange opinions.
During the meeting, participants discussed the importance of
multilingualism in modern society, the role of the Kazakh and Russian
languages, and the contribution of learning multiple languages to personal and
professional development. Special attention was also given to preserving one’s
native language, respecting linguistic and cultural diversity, and promoting
intercultural communication.
As part of the meeting, students delivered speeches in Kazakh and
Russian, shared their perspectives, supported their arguments, and participated
in discussions. Such activities help students improve their public speaking
skills, develop effective communication, and gain confidence in expressing
their thoughts before an audience.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of open dialogue, active
participation, and the exchange of ideas. Initiatives of this kind contribute
to fostering a multilingual environment at the university, strengthening
students’ communication skills, and encouraging their interest in language
learning.
The Public Speaking Club continues to provide opportunities for students
to develop their potential, enhance their oratory skills, and become confident,
articulate, and well-rounded individuals.
