On October 21, the first Audaryspak competitions, a traditional Kazakh national sport, titled “Almaty Arlany” were held in Almaty among students from higher education institutions.
The competition was dedicated to the Republic Day of Kazakhstan and aimed to promote traditional national sports, as well as support their development and popularization among young people.
A total of 55 athletes from nine higher education institutions in Almaty took part in the tournament. The competitions were held in two weight categories: up to 68 kg and up to 82 kg. The participants demonstrated strength, agility, endurance, and a high level of athletic skill.
Following the results of the competition, Dias Baimaganbetov, a fourth-year student at the International Engineering and Technology University (METU), majoring in Equipment and Technology for Food Production, took first place in the up-to-82 kg weight category.
At the end of the competition, the winners and runners-up were awarded diplomas.
Congratulations to Dias on this outstanding achievement! We wish him continued success and new sporting victories!
