On October 25, students of the International Engineering and Technology University participated in the Taza Qazaqstan environmental campaign dedicated to Republic Day and carried out a clean-up in the Big and Small Almaty Gorges.

The event was held across all districts of Almaty as part of the Taza Qazaqstan programme initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Clean-up and improvement activities took place simultaneously in different parts of the city, covering parks, public gardens, courtyards, public spaces, and recreational areas.

The environmental campaign brought together city administration employees, national park representatives, and nearly 100 active university students. Students of the International Engineering and Technology University cleared litter from the Small Almaty Gorge, contributing to the preservation of the natural environment.

Fostering environmental awareness among young people, promoting responsible attitudes towards the environment, and encouraging students to participate in socially significant initiatives are among the university’s key priorities. The university will continue to support community and environmental projects aimed at protecting nature.
