General Provisions

The "WORK AND TRAVEL" Tourist Club (hereinafter referred to as the Club) is a structural unit of the Department of Extracurricular and Educational Activities.

The Club has been operating since September 1, 2021.

Mission of the Club: To promote and implement a healthy lifestyle, and to search for and enhance effective forms and directions for developing the moral, intellectual, and physical abilities of individuals through active tourism.

The full name of the Club is "WORK AND TRAVEL" Tourist Club of the International University of Engineering and Technology. The full name in English is "WORK AND TRAVEL" of the International University of Engineering and Technology.

Goals and Objectives of the Club

Goals of the Club:

• To promote and develop tourism and active leisure among students and faculty of the International University of Engineering and Technology, to advocate for a healthy and active lifestyle for students, and to cultivate high moral standards in the interaction between people and nature, as well as respect toward the cultural heritage of the region;
• To provide knowledge, skills, and competencies in the basics of tourism and local history activities (skills in selecting personal and group equipment, organizing rest stops and overnight stays, packing backpacks, overcoming natural obstacles, navigating terrain, etc.);
• To establish understanding of the rules of conduct in nature, during hikes, walks, and excursions;
• To foster interest in tourism and local history as an active, educational, recreational, and leisure activity;
• To support the development of a sense of teamwork, to create an atmosphere of goodwill and psychological comfort, and to fulfill children's need for communication;
• To train practical skills to ensure student safety;
• To protect the life and health of students in emergency situations;
• To encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Main Tasks of the Club:

• Organizes and conducts gatherings, hikes, historical and cultural excursions, and other tourist and sports events within Almaty and the Almaty region;
• Contributes to improving the safety of educational field practices, sports routes, and hikes;
• Organizes and conducts tourist training schools at all levels;
• Sets up eco-oriented routes throughout Almaty and the Almaty region;
• Prepares and certifies tourism instructors and organizers;
• Organizes and conducts competitions in tourism techniques and multi-event tourism competitions.

Organization of the Club's Work
The club carries out the following activities:

1. Club Meetings:
   • Thematic meetings are held 1 times a month, with topics determined by participants and the leader.
2. Excursions and Hikes:
   • Organization of hikes and historical-cultural excursions in the territory of Almaty and Almaty region.
3. Tourist Training:
   • Conducting tourist training schools and organizing routes with an ecological focus.
4. Team Activities:
   • Holding activities to promote team cohesion.

Management of the Club
The club is managed by the club leader.

Membership in the "WORK AND TRAVEL" Club

The club operates on a voluntary membership basis.
Any student interested in tourism and active recreation can become a member of the club.
Members of the club are required to adhere to the club's Charter, actively participate in events, and contribute to the organization of tourism-related activities and programs.

Material Support for Activities
The "WORK AND TRAVEL" Club utilizes the property of the university to carry out its activities.

Final Provisions
This Charter comes into force upon its approval at a meeting of the club. Amendments and additions to this Charter may be made by the club leader.
