- To build an active community of technically minded students within the university where everyone can find like-minded peers, mentors, and project partners.
- To ensure tangible learning outcomes for every participant: hands-on development skills, a portfolio of real projects, certificates, and support from experienced club members.
- To foster a strong technological culture at METU by supporting student IT initiatives with resources and implementation opportunities.
- To strengthen the connection between students and the IT industry through practice, competitions, and real-world-oriented projects.
Objectives:
- Conduct regular offline classes in eight tracks: Web Development, Game Development, Cybersecurity, Robotics, Mobile Development, AI/ML, Data Science, Algorithms and Data Structures — divided into Beginner, Middle, and Advanced levels.
- Develop and maintain an online learning platform with study materials, recorded lectures, and self-paced assignments.
- Organize peer learning and code review sessions, where experienced members mentor beginners and promote a culture of technical excellence.
- Hold internal hackathons and technical competitions to apply knowledge in team-based, real-time environments.
- Organize university-wide events such as open workshops, masterclasses by industry professionals, and student project demo days.
- Prepare and support teams for external competitions: CTF tournaments, Kaggle competitions, programming olympiads, and inter-university hackathons.
- Develop leadership and organizational skills among members through involvement in event management, track coordination, and mentoring.
- Build teamwork and professional communication skills through collaborative projects, task discussions, and public presentations.
- Encourage project-based thinking: each participant develops a complete product that becomes part of their portfolio.
- Teach project presentation and defense skills, including articulating technical decisions and receiving constructive feedback.
