March 22 marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding writer Gabit Musrepov. Musrepov's role as a writer in the history of artistic culture of Kazakhstan is huge. Musrepov's works - novels, plays, short stories - continue to live. In memory of the cultural figure, events will be held in the libraries of the CBS (conferences, interactive excursions, benefits of the writer, literary acquaintances, literary newspapers, etc.), book and virtual exhibitions will be organized. Gabit Musrepov is the author of works of great artistic value, one of the founders of modern Kazakh literature, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, Hero of Socialist Labor, People's Writer of Kazakhstan, a prominent statesman and public figure. His works are not just sketches of certain events, but the writer's excited reflections on human destinies.After the labor faculty, Gabit Musrepov enters the agricultural Institute in the city of Omsk and, after completing his studies, goes to work in the People's Commissariat of Education. He holds responsible positions in the Kazakh publishing house, works as an editor of the newspaper "Socialist Kazakhstan" and becomes chairman of the Arts Committee. Gabit Musrepov started his career from the very bottom of the publishing business. Already at the beginning of his career, he showed himself as a talented, brilliant journalist. As the writer himself said, the newspaper became a wonderful school for him, it gave excellent plots for his future works, taught him to raise pressing life issues, to see and understand life. Since the 30s, Gabit Musrepov has been working in the state publishing house, the People's Commissariat of Education of the Republic, editor of the newspaper "Socialist Kazakhstan", head of the political education sector of the Central Committee of the CP(b) of Kazakhstan, Head of the Arts Department at the Council of People's Commissars of the Kazakh SSR.His work, as well as the biography of Gabit Musrepov, is a testimony of great love and devotion to his people. In Kazakh literature, he will forever remain as the initiator and the most talented cultural figure, as a faithful son of his people. In the scientific library of the Kazakhstan Engineering and Technological University, I am listening to readers, a book exhibition "The Artist of the Word" has been launched, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Gabit Musrepov, a public figure, people's writer of Kazakhstan. The exhibition presents the facts of his biography, his works and memoirs of famous writers.
