A literary evening devoted to the works of Abish Kekilbayev was held in the Conference room of "Students' House" on October 28, 1920 within the framework of the action "One Country - One Book" organized by the Library, College stuff and students. "One Country - One Book" campaign has been initiated by the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Association of Librarians of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2007 with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the action is to study and propagate the best works in our national literature, to promote education, to preserve our spiritual heritage, and to educate young people in patriotism and morals.

During the literary evening the students got acquainted with Abish Kekilbayev's biography, service and creativity. The students discussed Abish Kekilbayev's novel "The end of the legend" and expressed his opinions and read a few poems by poets and writers. The evening was very impressive and fun.
